Algeria's Hydrocarbon Exports Reach $37.5 Billion in Nine Months

Minister of State and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, announced that Algeria generated $37.5 billion from hydrocarbon exports between January and September 2026. The announcement took place during a hearing before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National People's Assembly regarding the 2027 draft finance law. Arkab attributed these revenues to a 37% increase in the average price of Algerian crude oil compared to the previous year, reaching nearly $97 per barrel, while natural gas reached approximately $11.3 per million BTU. Regarding petroleum tax revenue, the state collected 2,841 billion dinars, exceeding the 2026 finance law targets by 105%.
