France considers bidding for the 2038 World Cup
Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation, has hinted at a potential French bid to host the 2038 World Cup. Diallo explained that this initiative is part of a broader strategy, which includes hosting other tournaments like the UEFA Nations League and the Futsal Euro. He noted that the tournament's expansion to 48 teams requires at least 16 high-standard stadiums, making a joint bid with other nations, possibly Germany, a strong possibility. Diallo emphasized that any formal application would require government approval, which depends on the outcome of the upcoming French presidential elections.
