Djillali Liabes University of Sidi Bel Abbès has achieved a notable ranking in the latest Shanghai global subject rankings. The university secured the top position in Africa and the Maghreb region in the field of Civil Engineering, placing among the world's top 201 to 300 universities. Furthermore, in Mechanical Engineering, the institution ranked first in the Maghreb and second in Africa, placing it in the 301 to 400 bracket globally. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, noted that these results reflect the ongoing efforts to enhance the performance of Algerian universities and strengthen their presence in international rankings.
