During the presentation of her sector's budget to the National People's Assembly's Finance Committee, Minister of National Solidarity, Soraya Mouloudji, announced new social initiatives for 2027. A specific mechanism, backed by 848 million dinars, will provide direct rental and purchase subsidies for social housing to citizens with a 100% disability rate. Additionally, the government will launch the first national census of people with disabilities, funded with 140 million dinars, to improve data-driven policymaking. The total budget for supporting people with special needs has reached 35 billion dinars, a 9% increase, with a 36% rise in funding for technical and educational equipment.
