At the ministerial meeting preparing for the 8th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit in Moscow, Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, reaffirmed his country's dedication to international collaboration in the gas sector, emphasizing the sovereign rights of nations over their natural resources. He highlighted the need for equitable access to funding and technology to maintain global energy security. Arkab stressed that significant investments across the entire gas supply chain and long-term contracts are essential for market stability. Furthermore, he proposed expanding the Gas Research Institute in Algiers and offered Algeria's expertise in minimizing methane emissions and gas flaring to fellow member states.
