The group stage draw for the CAF Confederation Cup took place this Wednesday, placing USM Alger in Group D. The Algerian side will compete against CS Sfaxien from Tunisia, Black Bulls from Mozambique, and Real Bamako from Mali. Meanwhile, CR Belouizdad's path to the group stage depends on their second preliminary round matches against AS Douanes of Mauritania, which were postponed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) due to a dispute between Hafia FC and the CAF. Should they qualify, they will be drawn alongside Maniema Union (DR Congo), Singida Black Stars (Tanzania), and Red Arrows (Zambia). The group stage matches are scheduled to take place between November 27, 2026, and January 24, 2027.
