Even before the onset of winter and the usual drop in temperatures, citizens across Algeria, including in Kouba, are flocking to local health centers to receive their seasonal flu vaccines. This trend is driven by elderly individuals, people with chronic illnesses, and pregnant women, all of whom are categorized as high-risk groups. Medical professionals note that this early immunization drive indicates a growing public awareness of the importance of preventative health measures rather than waiting for cold weather to set in. Beyond vaccination, doctors emphasize the importance of maintaining hygiene, proper ventilation in enclosed areas, and minimizing direct contact with infected individuals to effectively combat the seasonal flu.
