The Polisario Front has announced its intention to file a complaint against the airline Ryanair for operating flights between Madrid and Dakhla. Oubi Bouchraya Bachir, the Sahrawi president's advisor for natural resources and legal issues, stated that this legal action is a response to violations of international and European law. Speaking near the Spanish Parliament, he emphasized that according to Court of Justice of the European Union rulings, such as the 2018 decision, air agreements between the EU and Morocco do not extend to the airspace of Western Sahara. He further stressed that Spain holds a special legal and historical responsibility in this matter, given its status as the former colonial power and administrative authority of the territory.
