Criminal network dismantled after siphoning billions through fake commercial registrations
National security forces have successfully dismantled a criminal syndicate specialized in forgery, tax evasion, and money laundering. The network operated using over 400 fake commercial registrations to conduct illegal financial transactions, resulting in losses to the public treasury exceeding 9,200 billion centimes. The operation, spanning multiple provinces, led to the arrest of 25 suspects and the seizure of various vehicles and administrative stamps. Authorities also recovered 23 billion centimes in illicit proceeds. The detainees have been presented before the economic and financial penal pole in Algiers for legal proceedings.
