Three Algerian historical cities added to the Arab architectural heritage register
The historical cities of Nedroma, Béjaïa, and Mila have been officially listed in the architectural and urban heritage registry of Arab countries. This milestone was achieved during the 11th meeting of the Observatory of Architectural and Urban Heritage, held by ALECSO in Egypt from October 25 to 27. This recognition validates the efforts led by the Ministry of Culture and Arts to protect and promote Algeria's cultural legacy. The inscription will facilitate new restoration initiatives and boost cultural tourism, aligning with a national strategy to leverage cultural heritage for sustainable economic development.
