The National Civil Protection unit in Algiers has launched the registration process for its "Junior Rescuers" brigade, open to boys and girls aged between 8 and 12 who reside in the Dar El Beïda district. Interested parents can register their children starting from October 6 until October 22, 2026, at the headquarters of the National Training and Intervention Unit, providing a birth certificate and a recent photograph. A selection competition will be held on October 27, 2026. The initiative aims to provide children with theoretical and practical training in first aid and safety protocols, enabling them to handle daily risks in their school and home environments with greater awareness and responsibility.
