The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Lakhdar Rakhroukh (Ghellaoui), held a coordination meeting to fast-track maintenance operations across the national highway network. The primary focus is the repair of critical sections of the East-West Highway, specifically within the wilayas of Constantine, Guelma, and Aïn Defla, as well as the 29-kilometer second Algiers bypass linking Birtouta and Khémis El Khechna. The Minister emphasized the creation of provincial supervision committees to manage the worksites, ensure high-quality delivery, and facilitate the immediate mobilization of the necessary human and material resources to commence the rehabilitation project.
