Jordanian security forces announced early Monday the successful capture of all three perpetrators behind the armed attack on a church in the Karak governorate on October 23. The Public Security Directorate stated that the suspects were found hiding in an abandoned house. After refusing to surrender and engaging in a firefight with security teams, all three were wounded and taken into custody, with no injuries reported among the security personnel. Authorities recovered firearms and ammunition from the scene. Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya confirmed that the suspects put up fierce resistance and stated that authorities are reviewing the circumstances that lead individuals toward extremism, vowing to hold all accomplices accountable and implement measures to ensure public safety. The initial attack, which occurred during a funeral procession from the Hammoud church, resulted in the deaths of at least seven people and left approximately ten others injured.
