New regulatory framework for pharmacists in Algeria
New executive decrees will soon be issued to modernize the regulatory framework of the pharmaceutical profession in Algeria, announced Mohamed Seddik Aït Mesraoua during the second International Pharmacy Congress in Algiers. These regulations, which have received approval from the Council of Ministers, focus on two main areas: defining the conditions for prescribing and dispensing medication, and regulating nutritional supplements. Under the new rules, supplements will be sold exclusively by pharmacists to ensure product safety and proper usage. Accompanied by the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry and international representatives, Aït Mesraoua emphasized that these measures are essential to bolstering national health security and fostering scientific cooperation with African partners.
