A direct flight route between Algiers and Shanghai has been officially launched, providing a vital link to the major Chinese industrial and commercial hub. The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A330-900neo with 175 passengers on board, lasted 14 hours. Business travelers have welcomed the service, noting that it eliminates the need for connecting flights, which previously added four to eight hours to their travel time. This new route supports the ongoing growth in economic and commercial ties between Algeria and China across various sectors, including infrastructure and manufacturing. It complements Air Algérie’s existing direct connections to Beijing and Guangzhou, further easing professional exchanges.
