New Procedures for Spanish Schengen Visa Applications in Oran

As of 2026, the BLS International center in Oran has implemented updated protocols for Schengen visa applicants seeking to visit Spain. Applicants are now categorized into four groups based on their previous visa history; selecting the incorrect category can result in denied entry to the facility. Since February 2026, those whose last visa is in an expired passport must submit a copy of that document. Furthermore, specific groups—including long-term visa holders, family members of Spanish citizens, and certain academic staff—may be eligible for appointment exemptions. Dedicated administrative paths are now in effect for residency and digital nomad visas, whereas general family reunification applications are handled directly by the Spanish Consulate in Oran.
