2027 Finance Bill: New measures for stranded vehicles and fuel pricing

The 2027 Finance Bill introduces measures to regularize the status of new and used vehicles currently stranded in ports due to logistical delays. Owners will be allowed to clear these vehicles by paying a 3% penalty per month of delay, provided that new vehicles are no older than six months and have less than 1,000 kilometers on the odometer. The bill also proposes increasing the vehicle tax (vignette) for cars with 10 horsepower or more that are over six years old. Additionally, it establishes a legal framework for recovering unsold tax vignettes and grants authorities the flexibility to adjust fuel prices when necessary, aiming to balance production costs while maintaining the citizens' purchasing power.
