Sonatrach increases LPG prices for November
Algerian energy firm Sonatrach has raised its official selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for November. The price of propane has climbed by $155 to reach $825 per tonne, while the price of butane has seen a significant increase of $300, reaching $1050 per tonne, representing hikes ranging from 23 to 40 percent. These adjustments are driven by rising seasonal demand and supply constraints in the global market. Sonatrach’s pricing acts as a benchmark for markets bordering the Mediterranean and Black Seas, including Turkey. Simultaneously, Saudi Aramco has also increased its prices, which serve as a reference for supply contracts to the Asia-Pacific region.
