New regulations for private schools: Ban on foreign programs and mandatory fee disclosure

The 71st issue of the Official Gazette has introduced a new executive decree governing private educational institutions. Under the new rules, these schools must strictly follow national educational curricula, with a total ban on teaching foreign programs. Schools may offer additional pedagogical activities only with prior authorization from the Minister of National Education. The decree mandates that private institutions establish formal schooling contracts with parents, covering responsibilities, services like school transport and catering, and conflict resolution. Furthermore, schools are now required to publicly declare their tuition fees for each grade level three months before the start of the academic year.
