A high school teacher appeared in the Chéraga court on Thursday to face charges of breach of trust, threats, and invasion of privacy. The case follows a complaint from a public works company owner, who claims the defendant refused to return a car lent to her during their romantic relationship and harassed him by sharing private photos. The defendant denied all charges, asserting that she purchased the vehicle with her own funds but registered it under the complainant's name due to trust and investment arrangements. She maintained she has been using the car since 2024 and that the conflict arose after she discovered he was married. The defense provided a traffic violation record from 2025 as evidence of her long-term possession of the vehicle. The prosecution requested a one-year prison sentence and a 200,000 DZD fine. The court scheduled the verdict for October 29.
