If authorities do not respond within this period, the request is considered implicitly rejected, though an extra 30-day extension may apply to complex cases. The regulation also introduces new protections for foreign workers: involuntary job loss no longer allows for the immediate withdrawal of a residence permit during a three-month period. Additionally, the restriction period for changing employers after an initial authorization has been cut from twelve to six months.
