Houthis deny attacking Mecca amid interception reports
The Yemeni Houthi group officially denied on Friday carrying out any attack targeting Mecca. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated on X that the group's operations are strictly limited to Saudi military bases and oil facilities, dismissing claims from the Saudi-led coalition regarding the interception of a drone near the holy city. This follows reports from the coalition on Thursday regarding the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi group toward the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, as announced by coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki.
