Representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister attended the 8th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit in Moscow, where he was welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the official group photo at the International Trade Center, leaders addressed the evolving global energy landscape. The summit aims to bolster international cooperation and coordination among gas-producing nations amid significant geopolitical and economic challenges. Discussions centered on energy security, infrastructure development, and the adoption of advanced production technologies. Algeria's participation follows its active involvement in the forum, notably after hosting the 7th summit in March 2024, which concluded with the 'Algiers Declaration.' This declaration emphasizes the necessity of market stability, the protection of mutual interests, and strategic dialogue to underscore the essential role of natural gas in the global energy future.
