The Rector of the Great Mosque of Algiers, Cheikh Mohamed Mamoun El Kacimi El Hassani, received delegations from Arab and African Economic and Social Councils who are visiting as guests of honor for the General Assembly of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE). During the meeting, Cheikh El Hassani presented the mosque's institutional framework, emphasizing its role as both a place of worship and a center for knowledge. He also highlighted the symbolism of the olive trees brought from Jerusalem and planted in the mosque's gardens, which represent Algeria's commitment to supporting just causes, primarily the Palestinian cause.
