SEAAL cuts off water supply for non-paying customers in Algiers
Since early last week, the Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) has launched a campaign to disconnect water supply to customers in the capital's municipalities who have failed to pay their bills. The operation aims to recover outstanding debts and ensure the sustainability of public services. The company stated that its technical teams have carried out disconnections from the distribution network for clients who ignored prior notices and warnings. SEAAL emphasized that the continuity of water and sanitation services relies on timely payments, and confirmed that these operations will continue for all customers who have been formally notified. The company is urging users to settle their financial status through its commercial agencies, online payment platforms like "Fatourati," or the "WAKALATI" application, noting that payment plans are available for large debts to avoid disconnection and subsequent reconnection fees.
