The National Higher School of Agronomy in Algiers officially launched a thematic research network focused on animal production and health. This project marks the first field initiative by the High Council of the National Scientific Community Abroad, acting on directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to address declining livestock production and strengthen national food security. Managed by the ministries of Higher Education and Agriculture, the network brings together over 300 researchers from 70 laboratories. Within a six-month timeframe, the team aims to produce tangible results, including the development of innovative animal feed and a new hybrid livestock breed, while fostering collaboration between domestic experts and the scientific diaspora.
