The Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) has announced interruptions in water supply across several municipalities in the capital. The company explained that these disruptions are due to maintenance work following a technical fault on a main distribution pipe, which occurred on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in the municipality of Bachdjerrah. The distribution schedule will be affected in Bachdjerrah, specifically in Hay El Badr, the 488-housing unit district, and areas 2 and 3 of Bachdjerrah. Partial disruptions are also expected in the municipalities of Kouba and Gué de Constantine. The utility company stated that normal service will resume gradually once the repair work is completed.
