Algerian athletes have secured a total of 56 medals at the African and Arab Weightlifting Championships for youth and junior categories, currently taking place in Mostaganem from October 5 to 13. During the third day of competition, the national team added 22 medals to its record, reaching a cumulative count of 15 gold, 10 silver, and 31 bronze medals. The event gathers 350 weightlifters from 31 different countries. Algeria is represented by 26 athletes in the African championship and 20 in the Arab championship.
