Algeria's participation in the International Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition in Madrid, held from October 6 to 8, 2026, concluded with the signing of eight memorandums of understanding aimed at exporting agricultural products to European markets. Ten national firms in the agri-food sector showcased their export potential during the event. Additionally, a 3 million dollar export contract for plastic packaging was signed with Germany, signaling rising foreign interest in industries supporting agricultural supply chains. The exhibition provided a platform for Algerian operators to connect with international distributors and initiate business talks, paving the way for future trade agreements.
