The Director General of the National Agency for the Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA), Bilal Achacha, has proposed raising the funding limit for micro-enterprises to 2 billion centimes to keep pace with rising equipment and project costs. Since 2025, the agency has supported approximately 70,000 project owners, incorporating 7,009 micro-enterprises into its portfolio, which currently employ about 2,600 workers. NESDA provides training and qualification through more than 200 centers located at universities and vocational training institutes. Furthermore, the agency reported a 50% increase in loan recovery efforts over the past two years, with a 90% project approval rate. These initiatives aim to foster a new generation of entrepreneurs and stimulate national economic growth.
