Algeria-Czech Business Forum focus on industrial and energy cooperation
The Algeria-Czech Business Forum kicked off in Algiers on Monday, co-chaired by Prime Minister Sifi Gherib and his Czech counterpart, Andrej Babis, who is leading a delegation of business leaders. The meeting aims to provide a new momentum to economic ties by expanding trade and investment scopes. Both sides acknowledged that current trade levels do not reflect the existing potential and emphasized the need for joint ventures in promising fields like mechanical industries, vehicle manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and digital technology. The event culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish an Algeria-Czech business council, designed to boost networking and facilitate the transfer of technology and expertise between the two nations.
