Nabil Bentaleb sidelined again, raising concerns for his national team availability

Algerian international Nabil Bentaleb will officially miss his club Lille's upcoming Champions League match against Norway's Bodø/Glimt. Head coach David Ancelotti announced the player's absence during a press conference, sparking speculation about his health and his potential participation in the national team's next training camp. Lille's management expressed hope for his speedy recovery, aiming for a return to action in Sunday's Ligue 1 clash against Rennes. This setback creates anxiety for the Algerian national team's coaching staff, led by Ibrahim Hamdani, as the prospect of Bentaleb missing the two upcoming 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Togo on November 14 and 17 grows, following his previous absence from the September camp due to injury.
