Algerian Embassy in Paris initiates recruitment for Arabic language teachers in French schools
The Algerian Embassy in France has announced a recruitment drive for contract teachers to provide Arabic language instruction in French public elementary schools. The initiative aims to fill 48 positions across 165 schools in regions including Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The deadline for submitting applications is November 5, 2026. Applicants are required to be Algerian nationals residing in France, possess the necessary teaching qualifications, and demonstrate a minimum B2 proficiency in French. This recruitment follows a 2021 bilateral agreement focused on expanding educational and cultural cooperation. Under the current legal framework, the Algerian government is responsible for hiring and compensating these instructors, who will then be integrated into the pedagogical teams of the French national education system.
