Marking the 72nd anniversary of the November Revolution, Algerian universities are emerging as drivers of development and scientific sovereignty. Carrying the legacy of the student strike of May 19, 1956, the modern academic landscape is focused on the battle for knowledge and innovation. Universities are evolving from being centers for mere degree attainment to hubs of entrepreneurship, where incubators help students turn graduation projects into active startups. Scientific research is now directly linked to national economic needs, addressing critical areas like renewable energy, desert agriculture, water management, and digitalization. Furthermore, the promotion of the English language is enabling researchers to engage with the global scientific community. Alongside technical advancements, social sciences and teacher training institutions remain essential in preserving national identity and teaching the values of the Revolution. This approach underscores the conviction that Algeria is building its future through the innovative minds and collective capabilities of its youth.
