Drug trafficking network dismantled in Chlef with 12.5 kg of cannabis seized

Chlef police have broken up an organized criminal network involved in drug trafficking, arresting six suspects aged between 39 and 50. The operation initially led to the seizure of 1.5 kg of cannabis being transported from the west. Further investigations into the network's activities revealed connections to a western border province, leading to the recovery of another 11 kg of cannabis sourced from Morocco. Authorities also seized three vehicles, a white weapon, binoculars, and an electric bike used for illegal activities. The individuals involved were brought before the public prosecutor at the Chlef court on charges of forming a criminal group, possession, and drug trafficking.
