President Tebboune calls for gas market stability and energy sovereignty
At the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Moscow, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in a speech delivered by the Prime Minister, urged member states to enhance cooperation to ensure stable gas supplies amidst current geopolitical tensions. The President advocated for a consensus-based regulatory framework to protect investments, warning that volatile legislation destabilizes markets. He reiterated that determining energy policy is a sovereign right of each nation, while affirming Algeria's commitment to remaining a reliable global supplier. Tebboune also highlighted Algeria’s strategic transition toward renewable energy, hydrogen development, and major infrastructure projects aimed at fostering sustainable development and global food security.
