Calls for stable supply of therapeutic infant formula
The National Union for Consumer Protection (UNPC), led by Mahfoud Harzli, has raised alarms over potential shortages of infant formula designed for allergic babies. Harzli emphasized that these products are vital for infant health and warned against replacing them with regular alternatives without medical oversight. To address the issue, the UNPC calls for better coordination between the Commerce and Health ministries, alongside pharmacies and distributors, to audit supply chains and stabilize availability. Families struggling to secure these medical formulas are encouraged to report their issues to the organization, ensuring that authorities have the necessary data to resolve these critical supply disruptions.
