Air Algérie has resumed direct flight services to Libya on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, marking the end of a ten-year suspension caused by security concerns. Flight AH 4006 departed from Algiers to Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli. The airline now offers two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Fridays, with ticket sales having commenced in late September. To support these operations, a ground handling agreement was signed with a Libyan firm on October 19. This new route is part of a broader expansion strategy for the national carrier, which has also launched new connections to Conakry, Brazzaville, Lagos, and Shanghai.
