National Solidarity Budget 2027: Increased Funding for Social Support
The Ministry of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Affairs has unveiled a 2027 budget of 272 billion dinars in payment appropriations, up from 258 billion in 2026, to bolster social protection in Algeria. A key priority is the support for individuals with disabilities, with 35 billion dinars allocated to open seven new autism centers and improve inclusive education resources. The budget also funds a national disability survey and provides financial aid for housing and school supplies for vulnerable groups. Regarding family welfare, support for productive families and elderly care remains central, with the Solidarity Allowance receiving 184 billion dinars to benefit 1.5 million people. Furthermore, the sector is prioritizing digital transformation through the 'Nezaha' platform, aiming to shift from traditional welfare approaches toward long-term economic empowerment and social integration.
